The centerpiece of our work is our individually developed, data-driven professional development plan designed to reflect the specific needs of a school or a school system.
A PDP consists of the following components:
- a carefully designed professional development plan in language and literacy that reflects the needs of the school based on an analysis of existing student performance data, current practices, teacher skill levels, and discussions with stakeholders
- a professional development plan that is aligned with the school district’s strategic plan and identifies gaps among the standards, student achievement, and teachers’ skills
- an ongoing relationship that includes training and follow-up coaching by highly qualified experts in the field of language and literacy
- an evaluation of the efficacy of the professional development
- availability of training and support for teachers who join your staff after a professional development program has been completed
