Types of Professional Development

In addition to the PDP, we offer a range of workshops and other programs at the Rollins Center for Language & Learning with the goal of improving instruction that results in higher levels of student achievement. Our professional development offerings can be delivered at the Rollins Center for Language & Learning or at your school. Formats for professional development include:

  • Workshops
  • Courses
  • Study groups
  • Classroom-based action research
  • Ongoing professional development through activities such as instructional planning and analysis of student work samples
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Training in-school coaches or teacher-leaders

Professional development programs can be customized to meet the needs of a teacher, a school, or a school system. Professional Learning Units are available for most of our professional development offerings.

If you are interested in partnering with the Rollins Center for Language & Learning at the Atlanta Speech School, please contact Dr. Deborah Knight at 404-233-5332 or dknight@atlspsch.org
