Overview
The Learning Evaluation Clinic provides comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing academic difficulties within the school setting. Our evaluations include assessment of children's intelligence, learning processing skills, academic achievement, language functioning, and social-emotional development. Multidisciplinary assessment teams provide a depth of knowledge and information that would normally have to be obtained through two separate evaluations. Following each evaluation, a detailed report of evaluation results, which includes recommendations to address identified needs, is prepared by the evaluation team. The clinicians also assist with educational planning.
Staff
Our evaluations are provided by a team of professionals including licensed psychologists and highly-trained and specialized diagnosticians, such as reading specialists. As part of the evaluation, a speech-language pathologist is available to screen your child or consult with examiners if needed. Prior to testing your child's vision and hearing will be screened by a registered nurse and/or audiologist.
