The Wardlaw School Summer Program provides the opportunity for children to maintain and expand skills and strategies learned during the school year. Three and six-week groups are available depending on the age of the child and the specific program. Individual remediation is also offered in 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions. Please contact the summer program coordinator for more information. Individual remediation through The Learning Lab is offered for Wardlaw and other children from the community during the summer session. After school individual remediation is offered after school during the school year for children not enrolled in the Wardlaw program. LD Online A web site developed by the Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities to provide information about learning disabilities and resources. A site for parents, teachers, children, and adults with learning disabilities, and anyone interested in learning disabilities. National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) Provides information about learning disabilities. National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHY) An information clearing house that provides free information on disabilities and disabilities-related issues. National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) NICHD has been funding and conducting research on learning disabilities for many years. Recently their research on learning disabilities in reading decoding (dyslexia) has identified some major cognitive processes underlying reading disabilities.
