Individualized Academic Remediation
The Learning Lab provides individual or small group intervention to students of all ages who require additional support to foster academic success. The services provided are based upon the individual needs of each student. Unlike tutoring, the Learning Lab at the Atlanta Speech School helps clients remediate academic weaknesses by using specialized multi-sensory programs and curricula and by giving students tools and compensatory strategies to assist them in becoming more effective learners. Current psycho-educational evaluations, school records, diagnostic testing, communication with the teachers and careful monitoring of the student's performance are used to select appropriate intervention methods and to set and modify goals.
