sensory motor fun for children ages 5 to 7

Movers & Shakers is a small-group, sensory motor class for children ages 5 to 7. Camp sessions incorporate movement activities to develop coordination and strength. Manipulative fine-motor tasks and visual-motor games are used to develop foundational skills for handwriting. Handwriting readiness and printing, using the "Handwriting Without Tears" Program, will be incorporated in multi-sensory group activities to reinforce correct letter formation, accuracy and skill. Students may attend one or both sessions. All classes are taught by a licensed occupational therapist.

Registration for Speech School Students: To register for camp, complete and send the Camp Application Form along with a 50% deposit to school. A 50% deposit is required at time of application with remaining payment due in full by May 1, 2019. The deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Registration non-Speech School students: For all students who are not currently enrolled in the Wardlaw School and are applying to Movers & Shakers Camp, a review of the student’s learning profile is necessary to determine if the summer program will meet the needs of each student.
