sensory motor fun for children ages 5 to 7

Movers & Shakers is a small-group, sensory-motor class for children ages 5 to 7. Camp sessions incorporate movement activities to develop coordination and strength. Manipulative fine-motor tasks and visual-spatial games are used to develop foundational skills for handwriting. Good handwriting habits are reinforced using principles from Handwriting Without Tears, including efficient letter formation, spatial accuracy, and consistent pencil control.  Students may attend one or both sessions and will receive an individualized home program for additional practice at the end of the week. All classes are taught by a licensed occupational therapist.
