preschool camp ages 2 1/2 to 5 years
We are excited to welcome you to our Summer Explorations Camp where your child will explore and discover new and exciting destinations each week. Summer is the perfect time to stretch a child's imagination and intellect. Summer Explorations, the Anne & Jim Kenan Preschool's summer camp for boys and girls ages 2-1/2 to 5 years, provides a blend of fun and discovery with activities designed to encourage children to experience new information about the world in which they live and build their creativity. Preschool classrooms will be transformed into different exotic locations each week and your child will experience fun activities allowing them to discover and explore the magic of each destination.
Experienced staff from the Anne & Jim Kenan Preschool, assisted by college and high school counselors, will transport children throughout the weekly destinations and guide campers to explore each area through creative play, drama, art, music, cooking, story time and outdoor play. We invite your children to pack their bags and travel across globe with us this summer! Please note all camp destinations exist in the imagination and take place in the preschool classrooms on campus.
Registration
All campers must be 2 1/2 by June 1st and previous school experience is required. Registration forms will be sent home via email and will also be available in the Summer School Office. Registration for Summer Explorations Camp is open until spaces are filled. Many sessions fill early and a wait list is maintained for sessions that fill to capacity. In the event your child cannot attend camp, tuition may be refunded if your child’s place can be filled. However, no refunds are given after May 1, 2023.
The kick-off for Summer Explorations Camp registration is on January 23, 2023. Please note that registration is reserved for Atlanta Speech School families during January 23 to February 20. Camp tuition is due in full at time of registration. Confirmation emails will be sent when forms are received and payment is made in full. Registration for Summer Explorations Camp is open until spaces are filled. A wait list is maintained for sessions that fill to capacity.

February 21, 2023: Open Registration Begins for Students who do not attend the Atlanta Speech School

Camp Dates for 2023
Summer Explorations Camp operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There are four, one-week sessions and each session has a separate theme and destination. All campers bring a sack lunch from home and drinks are provided by the school. There is a special Summer Explorations Celebration at the end of each camp session.
Session 1: June 5 – June 9
Session 2: June 12 – June 16
Session 3: June 20 – June 23 (School Closed on June 19 for Juneteenth Holiday)
Session 4: June 26 – June 30
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $250 per week
Refund Policy
In the event your child cannot attend camp, tuition may be refunded if your child’s place can be filled. However, no refunds are given after May 1, 2023.
