Study Skills Camp for rising 5th and 6th graders provides the most current approaches and tools to improve a student’s study habits in a fun camp-like atmosphere.
The Camp provides strategies to help students organize their work and their thinking. Strategies in note-taking, previewing content area, visualization techniques, memorization techniques, preparing for exams, and how to answer essay questions are introduced and reviewed during this one-week program. Students also evaluate their learning style to determine their particular strengths and how to best use them. Students use laptop computers daily for keyboarding and refining their work for projects. Camper/staff ratio is 8:1.
